This water restriction is somewhat amusing, in a sick sort of way. Are you kidding me?
Water your tomatoes and wash your cars!
We are sitting on one of the most richest aquifers in the nation. And some times knee deep with water in our basements because NYC can't figure out how to tweek their problems?
The sinking homes in Warwarsing comes to mind.....Because of a MAJOR leak in the reservoir system. Maintence gone amok!
It's almost like BP Oil...
How messed up is that?

It's been a few days now since the message was sent out. Still nothing said in Th-R or the Gazette. Why?

Got this message, via an e-mail, earlier today:

"Due to exceedingly high temperatures and
lack of rainfall the use of water has exceeded the water plants ability to make water.

The City of Port Jervis has imposed temporary mandatory water restrictions on OUTDOOR WATERING such as lawn sprinklers, car washing, washing down
sidewalks and driveways,etc.. Hand watering of flowerbeds and gardens will be permitted between 7 and 9 P.M.."
