Do I have to login to use this forum?

No. You can view the forum and add comments without logging in. However your comments will not be added until it's reviewed.

What do I get by having a login?

You can create new topics in the forum and your comments are posted instantly. Also, members posts are identified by their username.

Does it cost anything to register and get a login?

No.

What happens to my email address when I submit it?

The email address and other registration data is stored in a secure database for the sole use of verifying PJ Forum members. The only information displayed to other visitors is the username that you select. portjervis.com will not give, sell or share the information in this database with anyone. How do I get a username and password?

Simple. Go to the login page and click the create a new username link. Follow the instructions on the form and submit it. Your password will be sent to the email submitted in the form. That's it, you can then use your username and password to log into the forum.

If no one will see my real name, why ask for it?

In the near future there will be a member information page. By default, only your username will be shown but members will have the option to display other information if they desire.

What about computer system requirements?

This forum has been designed and tested for computers with the following:

Netscape 6 or higher.
Internet Explorer 4 or higher.
Cookies enabled on browser.
JavaScript enabled on browser.

Unusual results and/or errors may appear if any of these requirements are not met.

How long is my membership for?

Membership is for as long as this forum exists. Unless, a member requests by email to be removed or, portjervis.com has to cancel membership due to forum abuse or any other reason that portjervis.com is compelled to do so.
